Load one, skip one, load the rest and then hammer back and controlled drop. Pretty used to it from my single action:

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

Agreed - I do wish we had a bit more input from new Taco owners, mostly because I'm curious what their experience has been like and that was the other truck I was shopping (specifically a TRD OR) when I pulled the trigger.

Re: front locker, I didn't think I'd use it either and considered it a 'nice to have' thing, but barely a couple of months after taking delivery, I derped out and managed to sink my truck up to the axles in the soft beach sand here. 4Low plus both lockers had me walking right out with pretty...

Thoughts for an Overlander in today's market? Suggestions?

That tracks with my experience after a little over a half year since purchase. It's a great Swiss Army knife of a vehicle that's hugely capable and can do passenger duty, home depot runs and wheeling in the bad stuff all pretty well. A couple of weeks ago I wandered into some stupid soft sand...

Ba(ja)Humbug! An “Off Road” Mustang? Is FORD Serious About This?

Not gonna lie. This sorta makes my pp hard. I'm a big battle car fan and this is hitting just right.

Looking for opinions on the Ford Maverick

I will say that I was (and still am) very aggressive about maintenance and oil changes in particular - turbos are very tight tolerance widgets and the penalty for not keeping up with maintenance is severe.

33 for the Colorado. The Bison package moved its 35s to the bed because they don't fit.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

There were some Focus RSs that had the Mustang head gasket installed instead of the one specific to the higher output of the RS tune. They started giving out so Ford had to replace a few motors and recall the rest.

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

The 2.3 EB is excellent (if somewhat heretical) in the Mustang and made the Focus RS a complete riot to drive. Not surprised that it's a very solid truck motor.

Looking for opinions on the Ford Maverick

It's basically the (now-discontinued) Escape, but with chunkier styling and a bed. The platform and powertrain are well-sorted by now, and in particular, that 2.0L EcoBoost is solid - I caned the absolute hell out of the one in my Focus ST (including a handful of track days) and it never gave...

New Tacoma vs Colorado vs Ranger

So after about 6k miles, I'm still pretty happy with my ZR2. It's shockingly comfortable in daily driving and still a perfect surf fishing, trail riding or camping companion. Mileage hasn't changed - I get about 16.5 mpg regardless of the environment or duty cycle - this isn't awesome, but...

Why don't we see more Ford Ranger builds

$53K?! My ZR2 was more than $5K less than that. Toyota dealers are definitely huffing their own farts a bit much where the Taco is concerned. There's a local dealer offering a TRD Off Road for just shy of $60K. Congrats on the new Ranger! Love the color and it looks like you hit right in...

    Yetti's 19 ZR2 ( Zelda)

One of the things that assuaged any fears i had about the soft top was that they will happily sell you spare/replacement parts at reasonable prices.

Flippac on tacoma full time home on wheels

Dude. Your truck is pretty freakin' dope. Period graphics, lots of practical mods and it's a short cab. What's not to like?

    Knife thread

Nothing fancy. I have other stuff but these are my go-tos. From bottom to top, the Scandi grind camp knife is a Ukrainian thing that I stumbled on while browsing Etsy (tho they're also on Amazon), the middle is a plain old Mora Companion and the last is my Gerber EAB Lite EDC: I freely admit...

Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon Setups

Might as well post pics here too, since this seems like a place for that sort of thing: Coming from a long line of sports cars and overboosted hot hatches, I find that I really love this truck, despite it being a wildly different thing. Being able to do dumb mud/off road stuff is pretty...

Chevy Colorado or GMC Canyon Setups

Check out the Ecoflow Delta 2. Right now, they're on Amazon for $610 for just the 1MWh power station or $900 with a 220W folding solar panel bundled in. I just have the power station and it's a pretty fantastic little widget.

Ford Ranger, 2021 and the new 2024, questions

Congratulations on the new truck! I love that basically everything in the segment is pretty much brand new and we're pretty spoiled for choices now. 🙂 Taken any pics yet?

What do you use for a truck gun?

I occasionally find myself wondering whether my truck would make for a good technical.
