adj height rack for RTT on a trailer

What if the annex could be raised. You could lift it from the center while its rolled. Don't know if it would interfere with the rtt doors or windows though. Depends on location

    Military trailer spare tire location?

What are you using to hold it up there? I did the same for a trip with a ratchet strap, but was not ideal. I see the link now. Sorry.

    Military trailer spare tire location?

If you have a 5x4.5....you could look for a used yj/tj oem tire carrier. That's my plan for a spare location.......just need to get a swing out build

    What's everyone using for springs?

Thanks. I'm thinking of adding a leaf, and maybe installing extra bumpstops from my tj. That way at least it will hit the bumpstop before the tire rubs. I have 31" bfg's on there now, so a little less clearance.

    What's everyone using for springs?

Thanks. the springs are fine witha light load, but a big load overloads them. I'd like to be able to get a bit of stone, or soil sometimes

    What's everyone using for springs?

Thanks guys. I've decided to rebuild the existing springs. However I don't know how many leafs I will need. There are 4 there now, but there is a mix-match of differnt things. If I keep the main leaf, and 3 new ones should that be enough strength? Here's a pic of the springs

    Jeep Tub Trailers

You'd be better off using a pickup bed from a compact truck like a Ranger (same wheel bolt pattern). That way there is more overhang behind the wheels to balance the tongue weight. If you could find a stepside it would be sized more like a Jeep.

    What's everyone using for springs?

I have a set of very old auto springs on the trailer now......they are too soft, and its difficult to get some extra leaves to go in that are the same. I was thinking about getting new ones and was considering your standard short trailer springs. What are everyone's thoughts on that, and how...

Intro & my "Swiss Army" trailer build using '05 Tacoma bed

I used older YJ/Cherokee rims which worked. I have the ravines on my LJ and the hole does seem smaller, although I didnt test fit. I have some 31" BFG all-terrains going on soon

on-board-air and dual batteries in a WJ

Cool thanks. That was my plan, but if there was absolutely no benefit I wouldn't go through the trouble. I will use it to change my trailer tire pressure based on load as well. Plus mattress and so on. Thanks!
