    Itchy goes vintage!

How much fuel does the tank hold? My BMW GS had an 11 gallon tank on it, it was almost impossible to pick up by yourself when full.

    Mercedes Turbo Diesel Wagon 1985 W123 - $2,600

In 2017 I found a one owner 78 240D in Jacksonville, Oregon. It had 107,000 miles on it. The original owners did a European delivery on it and I have all the paperwork from new. She's a beauty, ordered with a 4 speed manual, no A/C, electric windows and sunroof. They added an auxiliary 15 gallon...

Will Jeep and Ram Truck Prices Take a Steep Dive Soon?

Most car dealers get most of their profit from the service Dept. The problem I see is that cars have been made to last longer and have systems to diagnose problems easily. Therefore having technicians that actually know how to work on them isn't that important anymore. Now, they pretty much just...

Solid state batteries will make electric expedition vehicles practical.

When solid state batteries become widely available, they at first will be priced very high. It will be at least a few years before prices will be at the point of mass adoption. And by then, other battery technology will be ready to take over. A constant battle for sure.

Battery degradation, Motortrend article Ernst & Young data

When they say that the battery can be charged up to 80% in short order they forget to tell you that the last 20% takes hours to get to.

Best way to secure wires for solar panels?

I used these that I got at Home Depot to run wires down the side of my RV to the battery box. The double sided tape didn't last long in the environment I am in. So I used a hot glue gun to attach them to the metal window frame and that has lasted much better. Every few years or so I have to...

    budget performance cars

Depends on which Camaro you choose. Anyway. For a big luxury barge of the late 60's the 300 SEL 6.3 was very fast. 0-60...

    budget performance cars

While it is far from being a small budget, it is one of my favorite performance cars. And, it's also a sleeper as well. Mercedes 300 SEL 6.3. Faster than a Camaro from 0 to 60 and also a higher top speed. All in the comfort of a luxury car that seats 5 while doing it.

    Is there life without propane?

Not for me. My whole RV runs on it, so I'm not giving it up anytime soon. It's a very efficient way to power a lot of things. My fridge, water heater, furnace and stove/ oven all use propane. I use about 10 gallons a month and have about 20 gallons with the three tanks I have. One built into the...

    2025 Unicat B63X

For a million dollars I would want more than just a cassette style toilet and a wet bath. I'm spoiled by my dry bath and large black tank that can go weeks without needed dumped. Or at least a composting toilet.

    quiet generator options?

I saw an RV a few years ago that had a pretty quiet generator. When I went over to see I noticed that they had added an extension to the exhaust piping about 5 feet. that really helped keep the noise level down.
