I needed to make the wheels so I could mount up a pair of duals in the rear. I would not have been able to do that if i kept the rim in its original fashion. Also, the front wheel would have stuck out quite absurdly and I would have had to make one large, heck of a spacer in the rear!
It has been awhile. We ran into some complications with the wheels bolting up in front. We had to add an adapter on top of the dually front wheel adapter to space it of of the tie rod on our spindle. We are still building the rear wheel spacer to accommodate the inner and outer dual.
My apologies. It sure has been awhile since I have been on here. I have been dealing with my business so I haven't been able to work on the build. I am just staring back up again. Funny how things get put on the back burner. I am actually looking for 5 Michelin XZL 335/80R20's. I posted a...

We caught a storm here last night so I will be putting the prototype wheel on later this week. I need to check the turning radius as well as the rear inside dual to see if there are any clearance issues. What we are ultimately trying to accomplish is to run these wheels without having to run...
Finally with the tire mounted. I haven't been able to test the new rim yet because it just started snowing pretty well out here in Salt Lake. I will post pictures and details later this week.
bob91jy, doesn't Titan make a support system with such tanks or should i be looking forward to making support brackets for it?
There are quite a few reasons for the 24-bolt rims. Weight is one main reason. However, I am in complete love of the HMMWV wheels. Ater seeing the abuse that these...
Here is the new center. There are two pieces that we needed to weld together. The main is the cylinder. The inner diameter is a 10 1/2" and outer is 11 1/2". It is 3 1/8" in height. This height provides us the necessary depth from the original wheels and spacing. The center piece was by no...
