    Smittybilt Overland XL RTT-New product.

Maybe a silly question, but I really would like the XL so my kids fit up top too. 2ng Gen Tacomas have the 60" bed. Anyone running the larger RTT on the shorter bed with a little overhang?

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

We are talking 9 MPG on the highway... Got 12 around town last week. I actually have a bad transfer case right now, did a bunch of trouble shooting and something inside is messed up and the front drive shaft is spinning. So this is for sure adding to the problem. Swapping the case out then I...

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

Thanks for the input on these points. I think I really would feel a lot better about power and stuff with a SC but man they are pricey and out of the budget for now. I think the 265/75's will be a start for now. I am slowly coming to the realization that I just need to live with it or sell it...

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

So I know I don't get a lot of attention on this thread, but I was hoping some of you guys might be able to share some input with me. I did the whole build up, and the target was my Mojave Road trip that I completed in April. On the trail the 4runner was a beast, but on the road the 4runner was...

    Help with Nav Tablet

So I figured I would bring my participation in my own thread question back from the dead. I didn't end up building one of these for my pops like I originally considered. However I just ordered up stuff for myself haha. This time with a slightly bigger budget. Ordered up a Samsung Galaxy Tab 4...

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

And Today I have been working very hard on this and been spending more time in the garage than I probably should have been... My wife is happy it's all winding down. Here is a list of stuff I am hoping to get done in the near and then distant future. I am sure most don't care, it's for me too...

Swing Out 16 Mar 2015 Ok so here is the 3rd update I mentioned above. Got the swing out done and on! This was a big one for me, has a lot of parts and took a while to figure out. Still need to finish a couple small things on it, but for the most part it is done! Here is the pivot with...

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

Hiking Trip 14 Mar 2015 2nd update for today. This isn't 4runner related though it did get us there haha. I have been so busy with with work, other people's trucks and my 4Runner that I haven't been able to get out much. As much as these 4runners are cool to work on the whole purpose is to get...

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

Bumpers and stuff 14 Mar 2015 So today is double update day, with a third to follow mid week haha. After some serious neglect and a busy schedule its finally time to add some updates. Not pictured, I got my ToyTec Coils and installed them. It brought the rear end down a fair amount and I have...

Thanks for the good words! I have had a crazy couple months. I took on some side work building 4 pumped for two clients which has kept me busy. Plus my wife is pregnant and will deliver any day now... I have a whole mess of parts/material ready to go when I get time... - All Pro UCA's - Poly...

    Help with Nav Tablet

Thanks guys for the info so far! The Samsung stuff seems the be priced real well for the latest 7" so that's where I'm leaning so far. I did see some 7" ACER ones too. Apple mini would be ideal if I had more money to drop, haha. Also this is gunna be a "trail tablet." The idea is you leave...

    Help with Nav Tablet

Hello all, So I need some help in planning a gift for my father. I am usually one to sit and do research, but my wife is in the hospital and I have limited time to spend reading about what to do. I have about $140 to spend on the whole project, and with some of the cheaper android stuff out...

    Need a lift. Thinking ICON 1998 4Runner

Why shy away from the extended travel shocks and an UCA? Spending a lot of money on your rig there and then leaving out what I would consider to be a very important part seems kind of silly. You get better alignment, which leads to better manors on and off road, the uniball or even light racing...

    Toyota Tacoma Cad Group buy?

I'm interested. I don't really need this or have any plans but for $40 or less I would pick it up to have!

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Fox does top quality stuff and it does take them time. When I worked professionally as a fabricator we literally worked 4 blocks down the street from Fox and they still took a month or two on custom orders. They only have one guy who does all of their welding because he is one of the best, they...

    *Rickashay's 04' Tundra* - A build of Compromises

Man you are at 5 pages and you haven't even done anything yet. I think it is safe to say people are excited about your build! I know most people in your other thread told you to keep the LC but I am happy to see you went this route. Your "baseline" of mods are going to be awesome and I know you...

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

Look what I found on Craigslist! Sonoran Steel 1.2 kit, got a killer deal on it. I need to collect a couple other small things to do while I have the front end apart, then it will be install time!

Little Bit of Everything 3rd Gen 4runner - MojaveMadMan Edition

Time for some updates: Got the wheels on a week ago! They look good, but they do add a little work to my plate. They are the 3.5" back spacing version, making my 4runner 1" wider per side. Great because I don't need wheel spacers for Tundra brakes and maybe a bypass shock later (in my dreams)...
