Things that go bump...in my truck??

On my Tacoma one of the bed bolts had come loose and caused a thumping sound. The bolt that came loose was the front passenger bolt. It is a torx bolt T-55 I think. I ended up taking all the way out and cleaning the threads up a bit.

    Satellite Phone Rental?

I used Mobal on a trip last year and it was prefect. They shipped the phone in a small pelican case with all the accessories. It even had a rooftop antenna that I used whenever we were in the vehicle. One nice thing was that the phone had voicemail. This came in handy if the phone was off or...

To sipe or not to sipe KM2s?

I have the KM2's on my Tacoma, and after a winter driving trip to southern Utah I had to get them sipped. They were horrible without the sipes in the snow. I had only the center lugs done, and they are holding up well. Much better traction in the snow now.

    Winch Install

I picked up a M8000 and was installing in my 08 Tacoma. Question on the motor ground cable. It says to connect back to the battery, but the angle of the cable makes it nearly impossible to connect. So my question is this, what about connecting to the ground point that is only 6 inches from...

Did your kit not come with another set of nuts and bolts? I just installed the same kit, and it hade all the hardware needed. I just picked the spots needed, checked under the bed to make sure I wasn't drilling into anything vital and drilled away. The kit had Nyloc nuts and fender washers...

    Post your tents

Here is a fisheye view of the inside This is called the Traveler 5. It sleeps 4 with gear very well. I don't have a cot, but it would be perfect to store your gear under the cot, and keep the area by the door clear.

    Simp801 Slow Build

So about the rack. I wanted something to hold a basket and have more room for camping gear. We had some 1"x2" box steel laying around work, so we went to Vectorworks and drew up a quick design. I wanted something to be out of the rearview window and to be strong and removable. I have a friend...
