New Salsa Anything HD Cage: Anybody have a few miles on them yet?

UV was considered, but I don't think it will be an issue. If it's something you are concerned about, I have had great luck with this product: http://www.goldeagle.com/product/303-aerospace-protectant A few kayak companies actually treat their boats with it before they head out of the factory, so...

New Salsa Anything HD Cage: Anybody have a few miles on them yet?

Hey All, glad to see the discussion on these cages! My name is Andy P, and I'm a product manager for Salsa Cycles, and led the development of these new cages. To date, there have been three versions of the Anything Cage. V1: These worked pretty well, but they had mounting tabs that were...

Gobi roof rack bike attachment solution.

Yep, I left the rear tire loose all summer and on an off road trip, for just those reasons! Had no problems!

    Slow Build: 2013 JK

Thanks! Tires: 285/70R17 No lift. 1" front level kit. 17" steelies are really heavy, that's really the only downside I have found so far. You will need spacers for 33" tires. Yes, 1.5" hub-centric spacers. Needed for this width of tires.

    Slow Build: 2013 JK

Thanks everyone! They are Mopar Steel wheels, I picked them up from Quadratec. The NAPA local to me mixes spray paint cans in factory color for pretty cheap. I got nice clear coat though, so these should hold up ok and look nice for a while.

JKs with RTTs. What rack to use?

about 6-8" inches. Where are the "posts" that say they rust out? Seems like your basic internet issue that gets repeated over and over again.

JKs with RTTs. What rack to use?

I really would not recommend using a rain gutter mount system for a RTT...I ran my bikes up top using a Thule 1A raingutter mount, and that's about as much weight as I would put up there. I bought a Gobi after shopping for about a month. Its not cheap at all, but there is no drilling anywhere...

Horrendous Customer Service - Wild Boar

That's some amazing ******* right there. Getting defensive is always the right approach. Also, the copy on that website reads like it was written by a 14 year old.

    Rear JK bumper advice needed.

More than I want to spend, plus right where I would put my feet is this weird crossbar thing. The look great, don't get me wrong. Pretty much down to the Poison Spider, and the JC offroad. I guess I'll look at front bumpers from both companies now, and see where that gets me. They have to match...

Beat to Death Roof Rack Questions?

The AEV rack makes you drill 8 holes through your hard top. 8. That made the GOBI choice for me, very very easy.

    Rear JK bumper advice needed.

Hi. The rear bumper on my JK is not long for this world cause it sucks. I was amazed at how flimsy it was when I took it off for my rack install, so I'm not surprised it sags under my...ample frame when I use it as a step for dealing with the RTT I have. What I'm looking for: -A nice flat...
