Kind of weird he described my meeting with him. And yes, want the truck gone first but that aside, I think she and I decided to pass anyway. Good luck, he seems to be a fair and honest guy.

Newb Shopping for Gen III and have pricing questions.

Note to self. Don't share my gems with a community of enthusiasts until I've moved on.

Newb Shopping for Gen III and have pricing questions.

Quick update. I looked at the 2004 (130,000 miles) on Saturday and I must say that I was impressed with the condition. The undercarriage looks practically new. It's it really clean, suspension parts look relatively new as well. No rust, new exhaust, couldn't find a drop of oil anywhere...

Newb Shopping for Gen III and have pricing questions.

Not surprised that some of you were eyeing up the same vehicle. Very good points made regarding the rust. Low mileage doesn't mean no rust. I'm so used to it growing up in PA and living in DC to have rust on a car that's 10 years old. At any rate, I have one appt tomorrow and will probably...

DO you mind me asking what you paid for your 2006?

Newb Shopping for Gen III and have pricing questions.

On paper, all things considered (condition, price, mileage), the 2004 1 owner with 130K miles is where my gut is as far as which one to pursue. Again, I haven't seen any in person yet. If it really is in "said" condition, with an asking price of $6500, what do you think it's really worth? Any...

Newb Shopping for Gen III and have pricing questions.

Hi there. I'm relatively new here, but have been a lurker for a while. What a helpful site as I love to research. I currently have a 2005 Dakota Quad Cab V8 that due to family needs, is on the market. I have been quite interested in replacing the Dakota with a Gen III (3.8) as best I can...

What would you pay for a 2003 Gen III with 60K miles...

Quick update...the original vehicle i was posting about was sold...this after my $7K offer which I never got a return call about. But in my never ending quest to finding the right Gen 3 for me, just wondering what you folks would think about an '06 with 165k miles. That's a lot of miles/year...

Not on CL, but AutoTrader. Leather looks a bit rough, but for someone looking for a Gen III to Expo, may be a good start...

What would you pay for a 2003 Gen III with 60K miles...

I think I'm going to try to make a journey this week and take a look at it. I do know that this was a trade directly to the dealership, so not acquired through auction which means they probably have more wiggle room since I'm sure they got it pretty low. I can't imagine they have more than...

What would you pay for a 2003 Gen III with 60K miles...

This is all great information. This particular Monty has been on the lot for a month and a half. Just by looking on Auto Trader and Cars.com, the demand for these seem to be rather low, at least on the east coast. Either that or KBB pricing, which most are priced at, is just too far out of...

What would you pay for a 2003 Gen III with 60K miles...

I have looked at LC 100s as well, but obviously are a bit more expensive. To put things in context, this will actually be my wife's DD which will see light adventure duty for a few years to come. At that point, I'll look to build it into something for "fun". I've just always been impressed...

What would you pay for a 2003 Gen III with 60K miles...

Thanks for the feedback...in my quest to find a good deal on a Gen III, I've been quite amazed at how high these are listed at (mostly dealers, but some Private Party as well). As said earlier, there doesn't really seem to be much of a demand and when looking on Cars.com, it also doesn't seem...

What would you pay for a 2003 Gen III with 60K miles...

I know this is a bit of an ambiguous question, but I've been looking for a Gen III (03-06) and ran across an 03 in great shape with 60K miles. It's at a dealership and they are asking $10K. Too high? About right? Curious of your thoughts.
