01-04 Tacoma Tailpipe question

I know there was a thread about this a while ago- can’t seem to find it-
Does any one with a 01-04 Tacoma have pictures of their exhaust trim/bend set up?
I would prefer to not cut the tailpipe, I’m thinking of just accentuating the bend past the rear axle, and maybe adjusting the support- but I know some folks prefer just cutting the tail pipe at a certain point.
Suggestions or links would be much appreciated.
The truck has a Donahoe/Deaver 9-leaf rear susp.
Thanks

Joash-

Sorry mine is cut to accommodate the Deavers. Most people have their's cut that I am aware of.

Are there any concerns with emission regulations where you are? I have to kook it up, but I think MI regs aren't conducive to cutting:(

Nope... the only thing that is cut is about the last 5 inches where it bends over the springs. The emissions output will be the same. Since it is a truck, the exhaust gases in theory go to the truck bed. It might be a different story for a 4Runner.

I would be very surprised if cutting was disallowed. That would mean just about all custom exhaust systems would be banned. I would think the reg would only be focused on emmision output and cats.

I have heard, but not verified, that cutting it isn't the problem, but where the output ends up, ie, being difficult for the emmisions reader to get at.

Mine is cut at the rear axle.....I had to move my muffler a little to the right to fit my buildBar......

In the future...I went to run the tail pipe out the back.......

I cut mine also. As far as emission testing goes, they just hook up to the computer anyway. As far as the emission output goes, cutting it is the same as not cutting it as long as you cut it off past the muffler. I like not having a pipe sticking out the side of my truck where high grass could catch fire or something else practical like that....the real reason is it just looks better.

Thanks for replies and pics.

Emissions nothwithstanding, I think the Expo gods have spoken, and I am now going to prepare the pipe for beheading. May my engine sound growlier.
