05 Tacoma Access cab 4x4 build!

Hey guys,

Found a pretty darn good deal on this 05 6spd 4x4 last week so I picked it up today. I know it isn't TRD but that should be easy to fix Even came with the FJ wheels!!

My plans are nothing special. 285/75 BFG all terrains, Bilstein leveling kit for the front, defiant light bar and a few other small mods. I'll post pics along the way. Oh, and the power output from this 4.0 is great! Way better than the older V6's.

Nice find. As an owner of a non-TRD Access Cab, I don't regret not getting a TRD. Honestly, the only thing that I really needed on the TRD Off-Road is the locker. That's simple to deal with and I should have an ARB locker in by the end of the year. With out the locker, that truck will still allow you to have a blast out there.

It came with BFG AT's...NICE! They come factory with the terrible Rugged Trails.

I've added a few things over the past few weeks.

Bilstein 5100's
BFG 265/75's (will probably swap for 285's soon)
09 Taco grill
Jason camper top (a steal for $500!)

The 09's replace the unpainted grille with an argent painted grille.

Ah, my base model grill is metallic greyish around the outside and black inside.

Man they really couldn't be any better! I talked to several people that had the exact wheel/tire combo before I got em. I have zero rubbing anywhere at full lock and I really can't tell of much, if any power loss at all. This will def be the size I stick with for the life of the truck.
