09 Ford F150 4x4 impression

Pickuptrucks.com posted a quick impression of the new Ford F150 XLT 4x4 (not the FX4 4x4, Ford's off-road version). The review notes the improvement in ride and handling that the new truck's frame provides, and finds that the XLT is plenty capable off the pavement, with good articulation of the suspension.

Ford makes a nice truck...can't wait to get a Raptor with a OHC 6.2L V-8...way cooler than another Lightning model.

Except for the 66 Mustang I owned many years ago, I haven't really been a fan of Ford vehicles.... But that Raptor changes things. Pretty darn cool truck.

Not a huge fan of the styling, but I have had a few Ford trucks, (97 F150, 97 Ranger, currently a 99 Expedition 5.4 4X4) and they have been bulletproof.

I'd buy one in a heartbeat. They are good trucks.

Did Ford fix that loop of cable dangling below the passenger side rear axle? (e-brake cable?) Always thought that would get ripped out driving over something off pavement.
