Still for the life of me don't understand why people put valuable stuff strapped to the outside of their rigs. I know they look cool, but the "steal me" display is wild.

How else can you flaunt your sweet over landing cred!
I agree that it does make sense to keep some stuff outside of the camper, maybe things that get real muddy, but it is a danger.

I had my shovel mounted on the side of my camper simply because it was often very muddy. But it was a $14 harbor freight shovel so I really was not concerned if anybody decided they needed it more than I did.
