Well, sadly the time has come to have three vertebrae in my neck fused and both shoulders replaced, so the JKU is for sale. I am a Civil Engineer, and have had/built/modified Jeeps off and on since 1976, as well as Land Cruisers, and Land Rovers- many of which can be seen in the sold section at theroverbarn, and I have been wheeling and exploring offroad for 40+ years. I truly believe this to be the pinnacle vehicle I have built. It is very comfortable as a daily driver- way better than stock, capable enough to explore any trail, and has the solidity/reliability to return home unscathed. Creature comforts abound, and while only 7k miles, the oil has been changed twice, and all upgrades monitored every 1k miles without a hiccup!!
So, here are the details, and I am sure I have forgotten to list them all:
-AEV 3.5" JK Dualsport SC suspension, which includes ProCal tuner, Bilstein shocks, new progressive rate springs, etc- see AEV's website for details.
-AEV high steer kit
-AEV spare tire carrier
-AEV snorkle with pre-filter
-5.13 gears w/ Detroit Locker rear and Detroit Tru Trac front lockers
-HD axles F&R
-HD sleeved front axle tube and gussetted 'C's
-SOLID HD F&R diff guards
-Warn winch mount (8274 winch shown in pictures is not included)
-Custom factory bumper shorty kit for improved approach but with no weight penalty
-Factory skid plates
-Skid Row evap canister skid plate added
-MBRP sliders with custom top to emulate factory side step. Also has four easily removable (for off road excursions) pendulum steps for easy entry.
-37" Goodyear GS-A's on factory Mineral Gray painted alloys (the BFG A/T's on tan steelies are not included)
-Terraflex hood struts
-IPF headlight kit
-Tuffy Security Deck Enclosure
-Bestop hidden lockable storage drawer under driver seat
-custom dog guard/safety screen
-Flowmaster 500 Series muffler relocated w/ factory heat shield (allows added/deeper rear storage or secondary fuel tank, neither of which are provided as this was the next and last item to do).
-Aluminum Brownchurch roof rack.
-numerous additional lights are mounted, but not yet wired- I have been trying different sizes and locations, but the ones shown in the pictures are included 'as is' if the buyer desires.
-several handles added for entry assist
-rear storage added to tailgate
I am sure there is more, and you don't even want to know the labor required to transform this Jeep to it's current level. The JK is in excellent condition, but there may be a stone nick or scratch here or there.
Thanks for looking- she is an awesome vehicle!!
Also, items not listed above are not included, like recovery gear, CO2 tank, etc. Truck also has service passport for free oil changes at any Jeep dealer for the first 50k miles I believe it is, and warranty started one year ago this month.
Expo price: $39k, pics to follow...
