I'm strongly considering the newly announced 13' Scamp X model to tow behind my 4x4 equipped 130" wheelbase Ford Transit. Compact and minimal (by my standards) have worked well for adventuremobile buildout so far.
The Scamps have a tremendous following, where I consistently see units 20 years+ out on the road. The lightweight fiberglass shell appears tried and tested. With the Scamp X model, the rock 'n roll style hitch combined with the Timbren axel-less suspension add capability and durability to these units.
For the price point, I don't know that you can find anything else on the retail market as lightweight, standing interior height (I believe it's around 6'), with an optional bathroom (Alt model), and as capable for off pavement.
It's exciting to see them venturing into the overland segment.
Any one else have initial thoughts on this new trailer?
