Duplicolor has a line of do it your self auto pant. Its easy to shoot and turns out well if you prep right. It comes already mixed and ready to shoot from the can.

Getting close to the painting stage. I got my 18" tongue extension done last night as well as hanging my shocks. Pictures later... it was late and dark.
I am thinking about making a bracket in the shape of an "I" to mount to the rack just above where the bed starts. I could get with a boat upholstery place and get a roll back cover made that would mount in the middle, making it accessible from either side or out the tailgate. This would help to keep out some of the dust, while remaining easily accessable.
I would also like to make a nose box. Nothing commercially available will fit my "Kustom" trailer, but I have a sheet of spare 1/8" steel on the floor of my garage. It may be a little overkill though... should I get thinner steel?
My E-Tracks came in as well. I will be welding them into the bed as additional cargo securement aids.
There's still a lot of work to do, but I would love to have the trailer finished in time for the Fall Foliage Trip.

Get the paint and whatever to spray it with and I'll prep and spray it this week (or whenever--- bored this week). Just bring it over.

I need to build the nose box first and get the rear hitch mounted. I will be busy with school stuff all week and will not be able to play trucks.
Make a plan, drawer up and I'll have a nice project for the week.:sombrero:

Finished the shock mount welding and the rear 2" Reciever. That ends the welding for the foreseeable future. I'll take the trailer over to LaOutback's house for painting later this week. I have decided against a full nose box, and have opted for two Wedco Can holders from AT, and a neat little battery box from Cabelas. This little box has cig lighter plugs and a battery test button on it. So I can easily find out how its faring and can easily plug in a heated blanket on the cold nights. Looks pretty slick! Anybody tried one of these?

I just used one last night, no adjustments, but worked great.
I had it over me and the sleeping bag over it. Got down to about 34...

Trailer is scraped (all the rubber undercoating) and sanded (all the funky primer runs) awaiting a less windy day with lower humidity!
Oh and taped off where necessary... dont want to tarnish the dallas bling.

I can't thank you enough for all your help with this trailer. I couldn'thave done it without you, bro!
Weather finally cooperated with me today (still a bit windy though) and I managed to slap some paint on. 5 thick n juicy coats. The trailer turned out OK, but you can only polish a TURD so much, right???
Oh and Mike, some dude in a crooza stopped by and stole your trailer wheels..... he left rollers for you though....:sombrero:
