I have a 1978 with 68k original miles that I'm planning (eventually) on doing the same thing to. Already upgraded the wheels and tires from what's pictured here, and installed so easy to sweep out bamboo flooring. New suspension and a bit of a lift are next on the agenda. What size are your wheels and tires and how far above stock height has it been lifted?

Great skills there man! Wanna do some work on VanDOOM? :)
I wish those skills were mine. I will put my skills to the test on the inside. There is a long list of projects inside as well. A fabricator friend of mine is doing the metal work. He does great work and his pricing is really good. If you are located anywhere near Seattle and need some work done, message me and I will pass along his contact info.

Cool! a fellow chinooker. Wow, only 68k miles in almost 40 years. They are awesome rv'sl
I believe they are the stock wheels? They look like the same wheels that are in your picture. My tire size is 235 85r 16. I don't know what the stock height was since the lift was on it when I got it, but I would say about 5" maybe?

It's been a while

Sorry it has been so long. Unfortunately, the chinook project got slowed down for a while. This thing got in the way...

Planning on racing the baja 1000 this year has eaten up most of my free time
I have had some time to work on the chinook though
I did some monstaliner around the lower sections. This roll on liner is durable and seems to adhere like the spray on stuff

Upon further inspection the plumbing system had a couple broken pipes

So I just decided to remove it all and run pex throughout. It is easy, cheap and resist freezing much more then the plastic pipe that is in there now

Now it is time for a new toilet

Up Next new cushions, speakers, stereo, t.v, new wood floor and dealing with this area where the cab meets the coach. Not sure what to do here yet??

More pictures to come
