I'm asking 12000obo considering a fully refurbished one is 30+k. You be the judge and I'm open to reasonable offers. I have compiled a list and links to pics and videos so let me know. I'm being very honest so let me know if you have any questions or concerns. Thanks! Located in Valdosta, GA

I have taken a few trips in this rig and used it for a camping vehicle and its been my daily driver for around 5 months. Frame is in good order and It passes the conversation test at 55mph. It has been a daily driver since I have fixed everything. Bulkhead is good. I figure this is one of the nicest series rigs I have ever seen for the money and anything better is fully restored so the price isn'y concrete.. but make me a descent offer. Cranks up the first time and has never let me down. Engine is great and passes the dollar bill test. I can't thank you guys enough for helping me with some of the questions I have had over the past year but its time for this to go to a new home.

Thanks,

Previous Owner list:
Replaced the whole rear bumper.

-Replaced all springs and seals in top of transmission..
-Changed both hub oil seals for swivels (front)
-All gaskets on Trans replaced on the top
-Bought parts from a old rover guy (mainly spares ... hoses, fuel pump and water pump and some odds and ends)
-Replaced some trim pieces and springs in the interior
-New fuel sending unit (LR Genuine) and redid the connections
-Axle Breathers and also one for the OD so it barely leaks now..
-Full Parabolic upgrade with the HD springs and ProComp shocks from Rovers North

-New muffler
-Valve Cover gasket

-Cleaned off frame and painted with KOS Rust Stop
-Patched up frame where it needs to be.
-All new interior except for the rear jump seats (out at the moment)
-Door panel covers (black vinyl) except driver and passenger.

Whats wrong:
-Driver side door (where you can make half doors) one of the two bolts rusted out so that needs replacing (100 bucks from RN..)
-Previous owner bumped into something and messed up the bottom of the passenger side wing
-Bottom inside of the doors have some corrosion
-rear main seal weeps a tad
-A Outrigger needs replacing but works as it is

Specs:
-1980 Series 3
-5 bearing engine (orange oil filler cap gives this away)
-Salsbury rear end (aka Dana 60) -drool
-111~k miles
-EVERYTHING works great! I mean everything even the heater
-Headliner is there .. sags just a tad... I have never seen a new one ... so I don't know if it is sagging or not. Looks fine to me.
-Brand new radial tube tires w/ defender rims 285/17r16 I believe .. the tall skinny ones comes out to 30.5in diameter tires
-RHD
-Fairley OD
-Cruises at 65
-Gears change fine.. Nice and solid no stiring soup
-4x4 works fine
-2.25 petrol
-Get around 18mpg loaded down with gear

Now for the cute stuff:
Defender tdi snorkel fitted properly. No ghettoness
K&N Air filter
Hella 500s
Brush Guard
3/4 length roof rack
axle breathers
parabolic spring lift
built center console
radio w/ speakers
CB
rear backup lamp on roof rack
I have added flooring to the roof rack (chicken coop 19 gauge stuff... works great)
Pintle Hook
Steering Guard
Rear jump seats, center rear seat, and sun visors included

--I have had a bunch of tire kickers and empty promises so if you are seriously interested then please contact me and we can work something out.

Yes! that is in the Apalachicola NF a few months ago on its first real voyage. I was navigating us through some trails and trying to get out before darkness fell. I succeeded :)

So what are the chances of me flying out there and driving it back to Portland, OR without any issues? I'm decent mechanically, but know absolutely nothing about diesel engines...I'd hate to end up stuck somewhere in the middle of the country having to rely on a local mechanic to get me back up and running. Thanks :)

Its gas not a diesel. I swear I put that in the description. You could do that but it would take a while to get back :) haha... shipping it would be cheaper. The whole truck is super simple to work on as I'm sure all the rover nuts will tell you. Diesel series are cool but loud as all get out and the performance / gas gains do not warrant the sound or so I'm told. On a tdi yes it makes a difference. I also have a box of spares (hoses, seals, fuel pump) etc.. .. only spare I don't have is a alternator.

Let me know if you need anything else.
