Man, my dad bought a Vanagon new in 1985. He drives very slow, annoyingly so. He opted for the gasser because he said the diesel was "dangerously slow". And he wasn't even driving campers. He still has the gasser and I think it is "dangerously slow". He also had an 82 rabbit diesel with the 1.6...it was tolerable, in a rabbit. That van looks like it has a fresh paint job, and not even a great one and you can already see the rust in certain places. It sold for 19k :smilies27 I should have invested in Vanagons in the mid-90s :yikes:
