Too busy to drive
1985 Toyota 4Runner for sale

Location: Orange County, CA

Description: 60K miles on new factory engine installed by master Toyota technician in 2006. Recently replaced many parts with OEM or better (clutch, radiator, catalytic converter, fan belts, brakes, OME+Monroe suspension, rear u-joint, alloy wheels, Michelin tires, etc). Have detailed service records, reports. Title free and clear. Runs great.

Price: $9,000 OBO

Known Problems: crack/leak in windshield, K/N air filter needs cleaning/replacement--probably the cause of high HC at 15mph for recent emissions tests, power steering fluid needs replacing, right front seat release cable needs replacement, rear tailgate interior panel needs to be re-attached, A/C cools to 40-50 degrees F so it needs a re-charge (but it uses the old coolant which is hard to find).

Link to Google Doc with service records, Car Fax, AAA VIP Inspenction result, and links to more photos and videos.

Why selling: My brother was a budding enthusiast of 1985 Toyota 4x4's with their straight front axles and expertly engineered 4-cyl. engine. He acquired about 4 I believe around the same time ten years ago. One of which was this one. My brother did a lot of work on it and later let me borrow it when I moved back to California and needed a vehicle. I soon purchased the 4Runner from him but now no longer can take care of it. Since owning it, I have not had the time to do anything with 4runner aside from a couple trips to the snow. I usually take public transportation or ride my bicycle to work/school. My brother and I always hoped to do more with these 4Runners--he still has another 4runner--but life hasn't allowed the time.
