Was in Wyoming recently and my first night I saw Starlink. didn't know that's what it was and was bewildered at the sight. Sleeping a little easier now knowing it wasn't aliens marking me for their next vist.

I'm completely torn on which direction to go. There is almost zero info/reviews on the 7.5's out there.
I think they would work awesome on some 6x16" jeep rims.
We are just about to head out for 5 more days.
I put together this combo as a present to myself after recent promotion at work.
Tikka T3x ultra lite in 300wm w/ a 3.5-18 to top it off.
It's the twin to the wifes. Going to get it dialled in today and hope for some good luck this trip.

A guy I was talking to was joking about how once it's up to 42,000 satellites the aliens will use them as camo haha.

Buy the size that’s easiest to get. Also, KO2 are waaaaay better on ice and snow.

Wish I could squeeze one more hook in here for the .22
First night out and nearly a full moon. This photo was taken under just moonlight.
Next am,
Wife had a close run-in with this little bull. 30 yards and not backing down.
Exploring some new areas. This little swamp was poked full of holes by moose legs.
Morning routine, coffee w/chocolate followed by bacon.
New addition to the set up is two of these. Total game changers. So nice to sit in an area hunting and be able to lean back. Pretty nice addition around camp as well.
Exploring a new lake and found this old 50s/60s wagon. I would love to know the story here. This was 50km's back into the bush.
Then on our way to go sit in an area for the evening the wife connected with this beauty.
Double lung shot. It dropped 40 yards from where it was standing. We had it cleaned and loaded within an hour.
Going to make for some tasty dinners. Happy thanksgiving!

Looks like a great trip!Both, I never really thought about it before but they kind of go hand in hand.

That sounds like a great trip. Nothing like fresh fish & game meals while camping. I can only imagine how awesome that was listening to the elk in the evening. They are such unique animals.

Got the front end painted, before/after
This Por 15 is great stuff,
Flipped it for a second coat
Painted a few other misc items at the same time,
Scrounged up an astro van steering box for the front axle conversion. Pitman arm points the opposite direction and it's a reverse rotation to accommodate. Without this the front steering would potentially bind.

Ran into this big dude on our way up to camp the first night. His front end looked like he had been juicing for quite some time hahaha
This is going to get repetitive as we spent 3/4 nights at the same spot,

Starlink beamed by us 2 nights in a row. Pretty crazy to see this for the first time in a totally dark clear sky.

^such a great trip. This is the 3rd year now that I've scheduled myself for 2 day work weeks for 6 weeks straight (hunting season). All of Oct & half of Nov, we are only working thurs/fri. Might be the best schedule ever.
Just getting back from another 3 days.
Wish we could have hung this longer but +20 temps forced us to cut it right away. Might try dry aging some of these cuts if they are tough.
Boiling the skull up tomorrow. This completes our age class range from 1 1/2 - 4 1/2 year old muley's. Now we need a couple big hanks to finish out the wall.
Money shot, straight in the freezer.
Heading back out to our area, absolutely love these animals.

Weather is finally starting to turn. Nice to get some cooler nights.
Moose sausage fry up for dinner. Huge moon, could pretty well read by moonlight.

Spotted this guy when we stopped for breakfast. Absolutely massive body on an immature moose.
He will be a legal bull come Nov 1st.
We watched him eat lilly pads for 30 mins while we ate breakfast.
Bagging grouse between stops. Came home with 17 on this trip.
Even when nothing is moving, there is still some great scenery out there.

Something about camp food is so much better. This was our thanksgiving feast, holy smokes was it tasty.
Best bites I've had in a while. Hunger is the best spice, right?
Heading out again Friday.

We made a new addition to the gear this last trip. This 11L water jug. Previously we were using the standard jugs from the gas station but this packs a bit nicer.

The weather has been very warm. Pretty odd to have wildfire smoke rolling in late October.
Early am hikes
The truck was running pretty hot the next day, pretty easy to trouble shoot this one.
First time having to use his compressor. I was surprised it had enough volume to blow out the rad easily.
No doubt. We live in suburbia and definitely get some looks when a moose is hanging from the rafters....

A new forest fire popped up the afternoon we went home. Strange times, late Oct now. We are 90+ days without rain now.

Out with the folks on a day trip, these guys are pounding food on westside rd at the moment. Trying to put on some weight for the winter.
Folks are in their late 60's and early 80's and they are still down for an adventure.
Hope I am the same when I hit that age.
First time I've ever seen this waterfall dry lol. Anti climatic ending to the hike.
Spotted a big bear on my way back up. Tried to put a stock on him but it didn't stick around.
Whitening the wife's buck.
This is a big one for me, new shop radio!
Round two on setting up the dana 30. Nitro gear warrantied the old ring and pinion.

15in/lbs of pinion preload, .007 backlash. Happy with that pattern.
Final parts for the WJ big brake upgrade arrived.
Going to do the ZJ v8 tie rod upgrades. Made the mistake of grabbing some WJ steering links, no dice for the XJ HP 30.
Some more jewelry for the new chassis. Arp studs.
Last one for this update. Snow is starting to fly. I'm stoked for moose hunting, ice fishing & winter camping/ski trips. Hopefully the next one has a lot more of this!
