I searched high and low for my perfect expedition vehicle and after countless days of hunting, I found it.

"Twinkie" as he's affectionately known as, is a 1987 Syncro with the factory Getaway high top conversion. This conversion added crucial storage for extended expeditions as well as additional protection from the elements. This vehicle has seen an impressive list of upgrades over the years including suspension, drivetrain, electrical and comfort.

It should be noted that this van runs a Ford Zetec engine for reliability (it is a 'world engine' so parts are available pretty much anywhere).

Body was refinished 5 years ago. NO body rust at all.

1987 Syncro 4x4
130000 km
(40,000 +/- on engine conversion)

Drives great. Starts every time. Goes anywhere.
Selling due to new projects.

$45,000 CAD

Depends on how you drive it, but typically between 12-14 L/100km. Sometimes better, sometimes worse (especially when fully loaded and pushing mountain passes) lol :)
