nice work on the retrofit - super jealous of the outdoor shower! Post some pics when you get your battery boxes mounted up / mocked up. Are they going on the driver's side?

10MPG out of the 460 isn't bad - that's with a C6 too, right?

Problem right now with the battery boxes is they hang lower than I would like, almost 3" below the frame rails. I will try and get some "mock" photos. They could go either side, but Ford puts them on the passenger. Which is also the side my main battery resides in the engine compartment.

Does the bottom of your battery box sit above or below the frame rails?

And yes, 460 with a C6. 295 tires and 3.55 gears...

Rob - I've got some photos posted on the smbforum that show pretty well how the battery frame will sit - the battery bottoms will be less than 1/2" below the bottom of the frame rail, but part of my mount will sit about 2" below.

If you use these boxes, I guess you'll just have to make plans to add some rock rails that hang down the same, right?

That works out perfect that you've got 3.55's - anything lower and you'd suffer I would think. The nice thing about the 460 grunt is being able to make up for the shortcomings of the C6 gear spread, no doubt.
