So I have a rare bird here. They made very few 4x4 sports mobiles in 1988. I was told there were only a few.
I bought an 88” sportsmobile
And then I bought an 88’ quigley
And I swapped bodies
The van is in amazing condition for the year. While the body was off I fully POR’d the frame , it’s
really clean. New suspension, shocks and springs. During the build also installed new body mounts , all new belts , hoses, water pump , valve cover gaskets, oil pan gasket, tranny filter and gasket, rotors , calipers , pads , and new front end parts from quigley. New rear gas tank. Both tanks work, and working guages. 285/75 BFG KO2’s on Mojave wheels
Have all original paperwork from sportsmobile and the quigley badges , and vin#
Quigley still has this in their registry, they’ve been very helpful with this build with info for me. They even sent out a rep to photograph the van when I was done. They also took a marketing video of it. If I can figure out how to load the video, I will
Front passenger seat is a little worn and the drive side door has a not very well matching paint touch up, but other than that it’s almost like a time capsule.
Definitely retro cool.
