I have valve tick that's driving me nuts some days it's super loud and then other it's totally gone. My oil level is good the only thing that I can think is I'm running rottela t6 any ideas ?

I'm Getting Around To It
You can try to bleed the existing hydraulic lifters, per the FSM procedures, one by revving the engine in a certain pattern (slight chance of improvement), the other by removing them and hand-bleeding them (better chance of improvement), OR buy new 3mm orifice lifters off EBay and bleed those and replace the stock ones (best chance).

You've already done the best hands-off thing with the Rotella. That's good oil right there.

I think tried the revving thing a few years ago but might give it another go. Love the Rotella had in my land cruiser for years.

Hmmm Rotela, interesting. On my new 2.6L Ecoboost project still in progress, I was considering royal purple but Rotela might be a new option.

Rotella the only thing I ever buy from Walmart. I use the t6 with the napa gold filters. I learned over at ih8mud and those dudes are super meticulous.

Just a follow up. In my attempt for an easy fix I bought some fancy fuel system cleaner. I put in 15 gallons and poured it in thinking I just wasted$15.00 I drove the truck for few weeks and the tick didn't go away then one day it was just gone. The truck is dead silent right now like it never has been before.
