Little update, I lucked into a complete blue interior. This kinda made me take things a bit more seriously with the truck, having been parted out previously it didn't have much value in my eyes. So, with the truck now being complete and in decent condition I started putting the feelers out for more parts and l scored a set of 5 JK wheels and some JL Rubicon tires as well as a bunch of other JL take offs for funsies.

I went ahead and installed a 4" lift on the rear and fit the JK wheels with some adapters and the fit is decent.

Now I just need to make the front match, I set the wheels against the truck for a visual. Looks like a good target height.

Well, I was trying to gently disassemble the front end but lost my patience with the driver side torsion bolt. Don't worry, I'll get it out.

I got all the IFS cut off, no luck saving that torsion bolt but for now they're readily available and I have a few of them already. I really did want a complete IFS hardware set and those are the only ones that don't interchange with anything else. Oh well, onward and upward!

Got the new axle home finally, ordered up the new suspension joints too. I think I have most of the things to start really putting it together (Mighty Max for attention).

Was just looking at your plasma cutter, kind of looks like that has run up along some rocks in the past.

Probably has, I bought it off a retiring field mechanic. I wish I had more money back then because I'd have bought his whole truck, he really wanted me to buy his line boring machine and welder.

Those are good machines, factory is 1 1/2Hr from me. I bought an 800 a few decades back, low hr machine at this point but does it's job every time.

Got the frame all cleaned up, seems like this truck was welded on a Friday by the apprentice. I don't think I've seen factory welds so bad on these trucks before, it's looking good now.

Test fit the Gen 2 SAS frame plates and they line up perfectly! I also rolled the JL axle into place and it seems like my coil buckets are exactly where I need them! So that was double lucky!

If you're looking for a radiator for the 1UZ, I have a fancy Fluidyne unit from a GS400 (originally a Mk4 Supra fitment as I recall). It might be too wide between the headlights on a Gen 1, though.

Yeah, I'm looking at a Griffin universal Scirocco radiator to fit where the condenser was.
