I have been looking for one of these myself, that mileage is decent based of the ones I have sesen for sale. The price is not bad either, but thats assuming normal condition. Just make sure you give it a good solid test drive check the 4wd engagement. Look for any leaks under the hood.

Check all the front steering gear & linkage. tie rod ends, idler arm, ball joints, wheel bearings for looseness. CV boots/joint for rips and noise. I just bought a '92 RS with 103K miles. Rust free. Paid less. If I were to do it over, I would continue waiting for a '95 / '96 SR (should be able to find for around $2500 - of course I found one for $2100 a week AFTER I purchased my '92 but now has now sold) or a Gen 2.5.

Thx, both. I probbaly need to wait, last week I test drove 94 SR with 176K, no rust, everything seems to work, however interior needs , it needs two new front seat. no history record, I would imagine it needs belts and water pump soon. I offered him 1000 he didn't take it. some paint fading.

Probably for better...

My 96SR had high mileage, & a worn driver seat. Transfer case wouldn't shift out of 4wd w/out the 4wd lights blinking, it smoked (valve guide seals), engine had been recently replaced with a used one of unknown condition, and it needed a new timing belt.

I negotiated the guy down from $2k to 1350 based on the potential cost to repair these issues. You should be assessing your vehicle the same way and giving the seller a counter offer based on these facts making him aware of why so he can justify selling itto you for the lower price.
