Certainly one of the best condition Discovery 1's in the US. When I found this, it was in excellent condition and located in California. Prior, it had been sold new and lived primarily in Nevada. I relocated it (all driving) to Scottsdale and then months later to Highland Park, IL (60035). This is my second Manual Discovery 1.

I will sell it for $28,500. To find and build one to this condition will cost much more. Being retired, I have the time and enjoy all aspects of the build. I'm selling, as I have a reservation for a new Ineos Grenedier and need to make some room.

While not a dealer, I have a web site (alpinaroad.com) that I have used for selling over the years and you can view pictures and a full description of this truck. I'm happy to discuss, send specific pictures and video. Please text first to 708-205-8348 and I'll return a call. I can send a carfax as well.

Yes, It was on BaT and had a bad week, which sometimes happens to great cars. It won't ever be sold at the BaT final number. I decided if that was how it is valued, it would become a daily winter driver. Seems wrong.

Here is what is shown on Manheim Auctions which is the largest dealer only auction company in the USA.

Since we both have a sample of one I guess we both WIN!

Finding a buyer for this on EP at that price, and not being a TDI will be difficult, I'd give BaT another go.. Beautiful truck

DO NOT COMMENT ABOUT PEOPLE'S PRICING ON CLASSIFIEDS. The rules state that you may not make any negative comments on classifieds. If you don't agree with the price ... move along.

You are comparing sales on a wholesale dealer auction site, frequented by dealers that are mostly buying cars than can be financed, with a high end retail auction site. You are also comparing an auto with a 5-speed, and that auto pops up from time to time but the seller never responds to buyers. Not even sure if its a real seller. That's all pretty goofy.

If a LR made before 2010 or so ends up at Manheim it is usually junk too.

I said my peace about this particular D1 on BaT. It has a polarizing paint job (traditional white top and wheel with colored body between would have a larger market) and lacks built diffs/lockers. It's still a sharp truck with seemingly high-quality work. Like all unique builds, sellers just need to find the other person with similar tastes.

I've now driven it to Scottsdale and am enjoying it in the SouthWest until fall when it will be heading for a trip to CO and then back to Chicago. I've added another 3000 miles and reduced the price to $22,000. I get stopped twice a day. People say they love the colors. Color is the easy part...the condition is quite rare.

Maybe I am blind but did not see a lot of details. Is this diesel? Locking differentials? Lift? All original suspension and tires?

It is the 3.9L petrol engine. All details are listed at this site >>>>> alpinaroad.com <<<<<
It has just the locking center from stock and is lifted about 2 inches.
