1995 F800 Ambulance Solar Panel Mounting

Hey All!

New to the forum so sorry if this is not the right spot for this post.

I'm installing my solar panels to the roof of my ambulance and I'm having trouble finding where to mount it to. My current plan is to mount three unibar struts to the roof and then mount the four solar panels and brackets to that to minimize the amount of perforations in the roof. I have no sightline to the underside of the roof so I don't know if there are any beams to mount it to, and I don't' think it wise to just plop it down any ol' place and call it day. So if anyone has had any experience mounting solar panels to an ambulance and had some advice it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I have used these mounts with 3M VHB tape to mount solar panel brackets to the roofs of RV's that are aluminum or fiberglass for years.Once they are stuck to the roof I would put a bead of sealant to protect the tape. This tape is very strong and I have never had a failure. https://amsolar.com/rv-solar-panel-kit/mounting-accessories . I have never had to drill any holes except for the panel wiring.
