1995 gen 2 vibrations...

BAD vibrations when I first got the truck, front tires were out of round. New tires were worlds better, but still some vibration at highway speeds.

On really nice new highway, I could get up to 80 with no vibes, but any bump starts a chain reaction of vibes that I can sometimes feel in my seat, sometimes just in the steering wheel, sometimes both.

since most highways have at least some bumps, I’ve been putting up with some highway vibes. No big deal on a 25 yo truck. But I think I want to bring everything up to snuff to see how nice of a ride I can get.

cheapest place to start: replace cracking and sagging Tranny mount and transfer case mount:

New parts. Notice how saggy the tranny mount is. Also notice how I was successful in finding a beefier transfer case mount. Was able to jack up the tranny and swap mounts without pulling the crossmember, which was nice. bolted it all together, and took to the Highway. Vibes are SIGNIFICANTLY LESS!! Really stoked. Still some bikes through the steering wheel, barely. I’ll keep ya’ll posted.

also, I’m glad I looked under there cuz I noticed a problem:45363172-399C-478F-9494-97C9607997CF.jpeg

leaky transfer case. Anyone know how annoying of a job this is going to be?

If the truck is new to you and seeing those mounts, I would take a close look at all the suspension components! Good luck! Keep us posted!
