I've never seen an "FXI" designation on any Land Rover that I can recall.

MattScott may be on the right track, or maybe it was a limited offering to a specific (non-US) market.

Either way, I'd be interested to learn more.

I've got one!

Over here in Qatar, I have a jimny which is awesome in the desert and a 3.9 discovery Fxi which is not, though it sounds nice when on 8 and not its more usual 7 cylinders. Not sure about spec differences, but its got cloth, alloys, no sunroof, step things, electric windows, cruise and a few buttons that don't work such as one with a motorway symbol on it. Oh yes, and FXi graphics! Fuel consumption is mental but at 18p a litre, it costs about the same as my old Citroen diesel did back in the UK!

Sounds like FXi is a base V8 package with upgraded wheels and stickers... sounds about right for the mid east.
