Thanks for the info. I'll probably shave weight by using thinner ply for the tops of the wheel well boxes. Not a ton of weight, but choices like that here and there can add up, especially in a '01 Tacoma. Thanks gain.

Holding up great, there is no sag in the center. Been using it over a year now. And yes 3/4" ply, cost me about $100 for all the wood and hardware.

They are definitely hard to find unless you want to do some work yourself. I wasnt in a rush and took about a year looking to find one.

I definitely think the access cab/dbl cab with the long bed is the way to go if your going to be doing any living out of the back.

Great rig man. Really like your camper platform, do you have any details on your build? I've got a similar 98 with what looks like an identical Topper. Also need to replace the lifter struts but can't seem to find the correct number, as the ones that are on there look like they have worn off. Anyways, great work and look forward to seeing more updates!
