We had a '00 for years. We brought our daughter home in it and logged 350k miles. Half of which the HVAC didn't work, lol. Besides the common A/C issues the only other thing that was finicky about it was was the tire balancing. The moment a wheel became even slightly unbalanced, it would shake like crazy over 30.

Now that you mention it, my 2001 also had a few times where I had to service the A/C. But during my 225K miles it almost always worked. I never experienced the tire balancing problem, that sounds annoying.
