Flyn6, I could not help but laugh at all the photos with your hand pointing at stuff. I absolutely love that you're pointing out exactly what you're working on instead of trying to explain the picture in a paragraph or two. Very informative, and makes me miss my old 12 valve. Oh, and either you have stock in Dynamat, or you know some people that know some people that rob some people!

That's not why I'm doing it!

I show my hand because I believe it is gettin' a little prettier with age!

With all the noise that thing is likely to make, It needs all the dynamat the springs can support!

Actually, there are other reasons I am sound proofing this vehicle. Tactical reasons. This is not an expo truck unless ramming roadblocks enroute to a hide site constitutes an expedition!

I followed the link to the SquareD post in the other forum, spent all day reading Part5, and signed up. Awesome work Sir! Makes me want to crawl all over my Tacoma cleaning things up like wiring, and install sound insulating material. However, I cannot afford Dynamat. I'll start looking for alternatives at Lowes or Home Depot. Also started a list of things to buy, such as the weather pack connector kit, threaded nutserts, talked my self into getting a battery isolator and install a 2nd battery, and possibly a CB.

Thanks!
That build is now well into part 6 and about to get into front/rear bumper builds, side rock rail/armor system, some belly pans, more fuel, and of course firing up that Cummins
Great site here as well, I've enjoyed it for years

Update: Laboring away on the front bumper build. Housing a 12K winch and a couple D-ring points it has a bit of a "V" shape to hidden in the design. That's the "Lift and separate" part of what it is designed to ultimately do...

Next up is the 1.75" DOM tubing I am using to fashion the brush guard "Arms" out of. Once these are done, it is on to final welding, finish, and paint

If you finish this and Zombies don't show, I am gonna be disappointed...

Well as long as the bridge doesn't wash out and the creek doesn't rise, I'm going to finish it. But I'd be just as happy if we didn't have any zombies...bad enough we have everything else...

Besides, I could actually use it for an expo type trip!

Got the grill guard on:

Patrick Swayze is looking down from heaven, wondering why you didn't use a k10 chevy.

Well, if it's any consolation, I tried to find a crew cab V3500 or K30 but couldn't in that time frame.

And

Next is either a Cummins powered square suburban or a buddy's 76 crew power wagon if he sells it...
