That's an interesting interpretation. I have thought about making a rear section similar to that, but building it to follow the lines of the original rear section so I can still sleep inside...
Well I sold mine a few weeks ago, so this may not be "legal" but I wanted to be included in the annals of expo 1st gen fame anyway...besides a good friend bought it and it still in the wheelin' family :wings:
This was last July when still IFS. Did an SAS last Spring, wheeled it twice, then sold it...

Finally I found a thread i qualify to post in. This is my 88 Runner. I have been in the process of building it up as an exteamly capable street/trail rig. I havent gotten to all of the nifty Expo mods yet but they are certainly to come. I want this thing to be able to take me to all of the craziest trails in the country, take a beating, and bring me back home.
As of now its SAS'd with dual t-cases, 5.29s locked, modded rear springs up front and chevy 63's in the rear.
It has been on two trips so far, the first i rolled it hard...hit the lid twice. The second i blew a t-case. Its still under construction but when i am done with it i deffinatly wont need a trailer to tote it around.
This pic is post roll, notice the cage...:ylsmoke:. Currently installing a engine cage to protect the vitals
