Yes. Pics please.

Oh, wait. They will have to wait until early next week.

They went out in USPS Priority mail, last evening.:)

USPS Priority is moving fast in the west. The camera arrived today. It was perfectly packed. The original package contained all of the software and accessories (most never used). Thanks Brian. I look forward to enjoying the camera.

Cheers,

I am really amazed that I missed this thread, I have been looking for a Canon G9-11 for a decent price and I would have totally jumped on this!

Finally some pics with the G9. I took the camera with me on a hunt for an "undocumented" petroglyph site. These are un-composed as I was trying to capture the petroglyph images.

Abe,
Glad to see you using it already.:wings:

Some of the subjects in your images are vertical. Try shooting all of your work as a horizontal and then as a vertical, for a while. Soon you will see which subjects need vertical.

Vertical images give a feeling of strength and power. Horizontal give a feeling of relaxation and solitude. Diagonal subjects in a vertical image feels like action and motion.

Have fun.:)

Thanks Brian,

I shot them all horizontal. Some of the petroglyphys were oddly oriented on the rocks. I'm not sure if that was due to the rocks tumbling or shifting from their original positions or not. The image of the man falling towards the spear intrigued me. If that rock did not tip over I'm not sure what the artist was trying to say. Most of the petroglyphs in this area seemed like they were done by beginners. It almost gave the impression of a "practice" area.
