2 Door Expedition Wranglers?

There are many place you dont want to sleep outside of you car, Ive been there lol.

It was great for 6 months, even fine for a year, but after two years I was a little tired of it.
It never had a single problem sleeping in my ground tent all through Central and South America.

I'm not saying I wouldn't go with a 2-door again, just that I'm looking for a little more creature comfort this time around, and being able to have "indoor" space is something I like the sound of.

Fridge, food and clothes in the back of the Jeep. Everything for overlanding in/on the trailer.

The only thing with a trailer... is you're stuck with the trailer. It all depends on where you're going. I was in Seattle pulling mine, and while it wasn't the end of the world, it did make things more of a pain. If I was going on a long *** trip... I'd really have to weigh the benefits of a teardrop (the only kind I think I'd want if I was going south of the US) vs the fact that you're stuck with an extra 15 feet. If I was staying in North America, then I wouldn't be bothered with pulling my trailer (even just with the RTT).

The trailer is nice, in that you can unhook if you want to do some local exploring. Aside from the classic Jeep look, I like the 2dr for it's ability to get out of tight spots.

TJ and a old Willys trailer for me. With small kiddos we only do long weekend 3-4 day trips. Peeps and clothes go in the Jeep everything else in or on the trailer, including mtn bikes or a canoe depending on the trip. We also only do ground tent camping right now. I've never needed to sleep in the vehicle. But I've never been some of the wild places you guys have either...

I had a 4 door Sahara JK with 6spd and 4.10 gears, only thing it didn't have we're the lockers and electric disconnects like the Rubi. I really liked it, comfort wise it was nicer than the TJ and smoother on road. It was very capable and I really enjoyed it. What I didn't like was that the JK just never felt like it had enough grunt, and of course making payments on something I wanted to mod and beat on. I ended up selling the JK and was able to purchase the current TJ, the trailer and a bunch of other stuff. YMMV.

Don't mind me, I probably should be locked up for public safety...

I have a 2DR built for "expedition" :) I too love the classic look of the 2dr , but at times I question if I should of purchased a 4dr. But, I have so much money invested in the 2 DR and its paid for , I just can't start over again.

I feel you, jaxs, I have had the same doubts and already invested so much time and money, That's why I convinced the wife her next car should be a 4dr!
