2 Door with a Roof Top Tent?

Is anybody running an RTT on their two door? Which one? Which rack?

Here is a picture of one of our Howling Moon Deluxe tents. I'm guessing it's a 1.4m. I'll have to check what rack was used to attach, but at least here is a picture to see how it looks.

A mate of mine is running one on his JK, he got a rack built specifically for it.

I run pretty much the same setup on my XJ except I have it opening to the side due to the lift up tailgate.

The mattress size in both is 1.4mx2.0m, my tent has the cover over the ladder though. They are both ebay tents and are the same as the ARB tents if that helps.

Well... Yeah, it's a JK 2011. A hard top, although don't want a rack that attaches to it. Probably a Gobi...

Very nice. The rack was built from scratch? I wonder how much I would have to modify an available roof rack to accommodate that one.

Sorry for all the noob-ish questions. Are you saying they are the same tents, just with a different label stitched on?

They are both ebay tents and are the same as the ARB tents if that helps.

Yep, exactly the same as the ARBII, there is an ARBIII now but that design is still under licence so isn't being made with another badge yet, I reckon 90% of Australians that buy roof top tents get the Ebay ones as they are sold locally and are substantially cheaper then the ARB tents etc. Apparently the ebay tents come from the same factory that makes the ARB tents as well.

Here's mine mounted on my teardrop trailer

Instructions are the same, interior etc is all the same, even the quality of canvas etc feels and looks the same. Spares are also interchangable

Here is our 4-door with the set up.

The 2 door set up will work get also if you run a Baja or Gobi rack you can still use your freedom top.
