kayaks on a 4runner
We carry two sea kayaks on top of our 4runner from March through October here in Southeast Alaska. Using the same Yakima saddles that had on a Subaru for 12 years, just needed a longer set of cross bars. The outside saddles sit over the edge of the vehicle allowing for about 14 inches of space in the center of the cross bars. This makes it a lot easier to tie the boats.
