$200 5KW Portable Diesel Air Heater

I see now they sell an 8kw heater...... for about same cost as the 5kw use too (price of 5kw has gone down)

Which would be better for a 15' habitat (former ambulance that am NOT gutting ) the 5kw or the 8kw and why?

Best to not oversize for the space, full WOT then off via thermostat with wide hysterisis, is better than puttering on low for long periods.

Thick insulation helps.

8kw is probably way to much, unless you have almost no insulation, and are camping in sub zero temps.

Really cool stuff is designed to work and turn off automatically at a certain temperature. Where did you get such a thing? On request from the Internet, I find only similar.

All the major parking heater vendors have thermostatic control available, most timers and remote start as well.

Just need to be willing to pay for what's important for you.

Just know if you're only running at fractional capacity, should schedule regular WOT sessions to blow out carbon buildup.

It’s a diesel combustion chamber. I don’t see it being an issue.

I was looking at the Planar or Espar versions and saw some lingo along the lines of "High Altitude rated for up to 8k". Had me wondering..
