2000 Super Duty ; Who is running ARB OME suspension?

Since I recently installed taller (285/75/17 Cooper ST Maxx) tires on my 1999 4x4 Diesel Super Duty, I decided that I wanted to get a 3-4" lift. Currently, I have a Four Wheel Camper (Hawk), which weighs about 1400 lbs and stays on my truck full time.

I ordered a set of 2" front springs from Atlas Suspension, which will be installed onto my current setup: leveling kit (about 2" hangers). I should get a total of about 3-4" lift up front.

For the rear, I will go with the factory 1-ton blocks (~4" spacer already installed), plus another 1" spacer (already installed), plus an add-a-leaf spring. This extra spring should raise the current height about 1.5" and help with the extra weight of the camper. I also have factory overload springs on the rear of the truck.

My intent is a get a total lift of 3-4" in the front/rear, and still keep a slight rake on the truck. We'll see...
.

Sounds like a cool setup, I looked long and hard at the FWC Grandby but I couldn't justify the cost over a nice used Lance. Maybe one day... or one day Go Fast Campers will start making a model for a longbed.

I have heard that add-a-leafs on stock springs are a ROUGH ride. I have stock rear springs which are in good condition and X-Codes in the front. I still have about 1/2" more top tire clearance in the back with the heavier front springs unloaded (looks level). This was not my intent when I installed them and the X codes are harsh, I want to get rid of the Ford springs all-together and get a softer, smoother ride off-road and on. ARB seems like the best (relatively) reasonably priced setup, and they offer their own add-a-leaf for truck carrying extra weight.

Rake is the way to go. I don't understand the whole "leveling" kit thing. Trucks are meant to haul weight, meaning; it should ride level when loaded. If it's unloaded, the ass end should stick up... that is the whole point of the springs!! An unloaded truck is about as useful as a flaccid ********!

Contact Deaver to make a spring pack of the lift desired. They offer standard 5" and 7" packs, but can do custom. Carli uses them for their rear systems. My 2004 I used Deaver leafs for the ride when emtpy, and Firestone bags with Daystar cradles when there was a need to increase load capacity.
