What no updates!! ;)

Tim I'm curious what CB you are using that fit into the ashtray.

I also have a question for all of you building the awesome sleeping platforms....what do you to with the extra top part that goes on top of the rear seats when they fold down? How are you storing that extra piece?

I really dig the one with the fridge....any idea what fridge that is exactly?

Lets see. I think midland, uniden, and cobra make units that fit perfectly into the ashtray. OR you can do the remote mount cobra cb!

I used to just leave the front part of the bed set up when we went camping.
I did make it so when I needed to I could just stack the front section on top of the rear section. It worked out well!
Here is an updated pics! :)

oops, also my HAM radio was changed out to a 75w ICV8000 Icom.

Thanks Tim...we have the remote Cobra 75 in the FJ and its a POS....we have known at least 6 people not counting ourselves in which the speaker in it has fried in less than 6 months.

I think I'm going with the Uniden.....

Tim,

What size wheels and tires do you have on your 4runner? They look really good.

Thanks Hadley!

Le classique! 255-85-16's on 16x7.5 TRD Special Edition FJ rims.

What is the backspacing on those rims?

The backspacing didn't move the wheel out at all or very little so I'd guess similar to 4.5.
Checking now...
The internet says 4.5
That would be my feeling for them. The tire seemed to stick out just a hair more, but that would be accounted for in the extra .5 in diameter of the wheel.

But they are TRD wheels aren't they? And according to a guy that had em your looking at closer to 5". This is the whole reason I didn't go with them from the beginning and stuck with my Limited wheels with 1" spacers. Though I've been wrong before.

Not sure. The weird thing is that if they were 5" they should be more sucked in and if anything they moved out slightly... :(
Yo muy confusa. Aye yaye yaye!

Well like I said I could be wrong soooo either pull it and measure or if your not running into any issues call it a day, either way it looks really good.
