I have a tracker I use as a dailey driver and I use to explore our so cal deserts. it has a 2.5" rocky road susp lift,235/75/15 tires, tow bumper with winch mount capability,
2"receiver on rear ,roof rack/surfboard rack. questions I have is do any of you have a locker in the rear other than the ARB,and if you do how do it do on the street.

some of the club runs around here say you need a locker was going to get winch first a 5000lb one since I only weigh 2300. would appreciate suggestions on lockers and lincs if you have them and do I need to go to a 31" tire

Hi,

I have '95 Suzuki Sidekick with very similar specs to your '01. I have a Lock Right locker in the rear. It definitely does change the driveability—especially around town. It clangs and bangs from time to time; sharp corners in parking lots cause a chirp from the wheel wheels. On the freeways and such it's no biggie. Off the pavement, however, it works like a charm, and the Lock Right is definitely a cost-effective way to lock the rear. It will take some getting used to if you decide to go that route.

The locker makes a big difference. I took the Sidekick up things I would not have made it through without the locker. Like I said, it does take a bit of getting used to. Every now and then the locker will make a big BANG! and scare the crap out of me! However, on the trails, it's great.
