I like the burb but I kinda want to hot rod a diesel again.
I got this Burb to haul people and our boat. It does both great. I was also going to use it as a base for an adventure rig. Right now mechanically it's fairly sorted out, ready for your personalized touches to make it adventure ready.
Bought it with 150k miles and put 10k on this summer, but I did a ton of proactive maintenance to make sure it made it through the AZ/NV desert and pull the grades between.
Plugs/AC Delco wires
Knock sensors (sealed up right)
Valley pan gasket
Intake gasket
Oil pressure sensor
Valve cover gaskets
Water pump/thermostat/fan clutch/pulley
AC Delco radiator, not some cheapie
Belt tensioner and HD green belt/AC belt
Trans fluid changed
Lee Power Steering rebuilt pump and gearbox
Dmax store HD tie rods/ends
Dmax store idler pivot and weld in brace
New pitman and idler arms
New upper control arm/ball joints
New Steering stabilizer
Front/rear diff fluid change
Transfer case pump rub fix/fluid change
Cabin filters changed
Tinted windows
Magnaflow muffler
Rear backup camera with separate screen
E rated tires with about 85%+ on them
Standard features:
Leather
Full center console, middle/rear bench
Sun roof
Heated/power/memory seats
Factory TVs in head rests (P.O. Said doesn't work, haven't diagnosed)
Auto AC/climate system (works fricken bitchen with the dual loop system)
4.10s and factory trans cooler/temp gauge
The cons:
Needs a stereo, factory is weak and worn. I always put a system in my trucks just haven't installed it in this yet.
Driver seat leather is a little worn through on the bolster
Steering wheel a little worn through
Carpet has some stains in the trunk
Muffler drones pretty good
P.O. Bumped into something with rear bumper, folded in the sheet metal a little
Drips oil occasionally, I think it's the CPS above oil filter
"Brake" (not "ABS") lights up on the dash occasionally, not sure why but brakes work well
It's a great truck, like I said I just miss having a diesel and dumping my money into that
Would be open to trades for Duramax or Powerstroke, I'd consider cummins but not a big fan of the years that would be equivalent worth.
$7,500 cash. Currently located in Ventura CA but moving to Northern CA soon.
