This truck has been a crazy project and it turned out to be incredibly capable. I wouldn’t hesitate to get in and drive it across the country tomorrow; in fact for its maiden voyage I took it on a 5000 mile road trip all over the west coast.
A little about the truck, I purchased it in August of 2017 and spent three months converting it to what it is now. The rig had about 48k miles on it when I bought it which is very low for a vehicle this year.

Truck Details:

2002 Chevy Silverado 3500 4x4
8.1L Vortec gas Engine
Allison Transmission
56K miles
4x4
2 fuel tanks

After I purchased it I had the following mechanical work done:

Replaced Idler and pitman arms
Brand New 105amp alternator
Full Synthetic engine oil change with AMSOIL Signature
Full Synthetic AMSOIL in the Rear Differential
Transmission service and fluid change
Air Condition service and recharge
Six new Toyo Open Country A/T 2
New headlight and turn signal housings as well as bulbs
Standard towing mirrors (instead of the outrigger mirrors)

As for the box conversion I have somewhere around 300 hours into it. I started by tearing just about everything ambulance out of the box while still salvaging all the running lights necessary electronics. Once everything was out I used rubber paint on the floor to help seal it before laying down a new subfloor. I insulated the entire box with 2in RMAX rigid foam insulation with supplemental spray foam here and there. I then re-wired all the lights and outlets using ancor marine grade wire and installed the Fantastic vent fan and 15” by 30” Window above where the sink would be.
Solar Set up:

340 Watt SolarWorld Panel
Midnight Solar Break box
Midnight Solar KID 30amp MPPT Charge Controller
Full River DC115-12 Batteries (2) = 230Amp hours
Samlex 1500W Pure Sine Wave Inverter with remote
BlueSea 12v Fuse Block

Kitchen:
Dometic CD-50 Drawer Fridge
Dometic Cramer 2-burner stove with glass lid
20lb Propane tank
20 gallon fresh water tank
4 gallon grey water catch
Shurflo 4008 3GPM 12v water pump
Stainless steel sink and tall faucet
Custom Countertops
Trash can drawer

Interior Lighting:
6 Small dimmable LED lights in the ceiling
2 under cabinet “task lighting” LED lights
LED light strip under the bed for movie theater type lighting

Exterior Lighting:
42in Opt7 LED off road light bar on the front of the box
2 high output halogen lights on each of the other sides of the truck, each switched independently

Extras:

Outside shower/spray nozzle
2 bike storage inside
Pergo laminate wood flooring

Asking $30,000 obo willing to throw in all ambulance take outs

Observer
are there any more photos of this? i love to see them!

Hey Kyle, I ended up purchasing this from James in April. I will likely make a post on it and the modifications I have made soon. We are using this rig for a 6 month rock/alpine climbing and skiing trip through the Sierra Nevada and Rockies.
