So I think upon further inspection of the frame I am going to simplify the process of shortening it up. Since the cab mounts will need to stay in the same spot, and the front bed mount will need to as well, I am just going to move the spring hanger forward, the take 10 inches off the rear of the frame, drill new holes for the other bed mounts and that should work just fine.

There also lies a problem with the fuel tank, there is no way I can move the stock fuel tank 10 inches forward to shorten up the wheelbase, so I started comparing part numbers and such with no avail. Looks like a fuel cell might be in my future.

Got it in the garage finally to get started, went ahead and lopped 10 inches off the rear.

This is probably the worst part of the whole deal, cutting the factory mess off the frame.

Alright now back to some real tech, I got my new front spring hangers in, I went with these for a couple reasons
1. The actual hanger bolts on so I can have an access hole for the cab bolt
2. ThorBros builds some really beef stuff, the main part is 3/8" thick steel and the tabs are 1/4"

My plan is to simply move the hanger forward 10 inches and down 1 inch, gaining me a 1/2" less lift I need to find elsewhere and shorten up the wheelbase

Raceline Monsters... And then sell me your old wheels for my white OBS chevy. :wings:

How far are you from Beaumont/Houston, I'd be willing to take $400 for them and my brother works in Beaumont, he comes home every weekend.

I'm also pulling my current axles to sell as well........
