Is there any way I could bother you for better pics if where the control arms mount to the frame? I have a 2005 Silverado 1500 I want to do this to and am trying to do as much research as possible before any sparks fly

I plated the bottom of the transmission crossmember with 1/4" plate, then bolted it at the factory locations as well as the ends right next to the frame rails, then just welded link tabs to that. I can dig up some pictures for you.

Thanks. I really appreciate your help

Here's a few pictures of how we mounted the lower links

I put in a big notch with some 5" pipe to help the driveshaft clear

I used 1/4" plate to add strength to the bottom of the factory trans crossmember, in this photo you can see how it extends past the ends and I have additional bolts on the ends of the crossmember.

small update, but an update none the less, finally got around to replacing the 2-3 shift servo, super easy. Since the pan had to be dropped to do this I went ahead and ordered a Hughes pan to bolt in place of the stocker.

So I had an issue with my tires. Cooper STT 37x12.50R17. I bought them new from discount tire almost 4 years ago, they still have 12/32 tread left. The sidewalls started splitting and they have a fair amount of dry rot nor will the balance worth a damn. So I took them up to discount tire and to my surprise they are giving me $783 towards a new set. So I ordered the new STT pros.

Got a few more things knocked out this weekend. Gutted the inside of the truck to install the OEM floor shifter.

I also put down about 45 sq ft of sound insulation on the floor and roof skin.

The OEM linkage for the 261 won't bolt right up to the 241, so I had to cut one end off the 241 linkage and weld it to the 261 linkage but in the end it all works smooth.

I also pulled the TCCM and grounded pin B5 so it will get a signal for 4LO. All that is left to do is fill the T case and Trans with new fluid and bolt up the driveshaft and I should have 4 wheel drive again.

Getting very close to being complete once again, I got the transfer case in and working, filled with fluid along with the transmission and its new deep sump pan, everything is working great and shifting awesome. I need to pick up some U joint straps and hardware and bolt up my driveshaft. I also put a deposit down on one of these.... and I don't mean the suburban...

I am just finishing up my rear bumper, it's mostly 3/16 plate and 1/8 in low stress areas and 3/8 brackets. Also finished up my wheels and a few other odds and ends. Building a rack for my roof top tent this week.

Nice work, the bumper looks real good. The Z71 Overland stickers will have people doing a double take or realizing later it is different from stock. Nice that you converted to a manual shifter on the T-case. Did you eliminate the disconnect on the front axle as well?

That I did as well with a kit from Posi-Lok, however it won't matter in a year or so anyway I'll be swapping to an AAM 9.25 front and 14FF rear.
