Hey everyone. I have a 2004 Fuso FG that I bought this past year that I was in the middle of building. My dad has become ill and I will be spending all of the forseeable future taking care of him.
I searched for a long time for the 2004 model - it was an ex woodland fire rig. The cab and chassis has 63,392 as of right now. I picked it up in Arizona this past year and drove it back to Ohio. I picked it up with 61,083 and averaged 13mpg on my trip from AZ to OH.
The frame was built with 2x2 with a total of 6 mounting points for springs when the build out is finished and a proper weight can be measured. For now, there are rubber bushings.
The box/habitat started its life as a brand new 7x14 homesteader challenger trailer. The exterior frames of the trailer are made of boxed steel and center supports are z's. For added support, I added boxed steel supports from edge to edge. I went with the travel trailer after pulling/living out of a similar 7x14 for a year - they are extremely easy to modify, and if they ever need fixed, you can always find parts no matter where you're located.
I fabbed up a receiver that I was going to mount the spare on.
I have a set of 5 wheels and tires that have never been mounted. The singles are from Tony at fuso off road. They are 17x9 with Geolander X-AT 37x12.5
The interior cab isn't perfect - which wasn't a deal breaker for me. I had planned on re-upholstering the seats when the build out was complete as well as getting new plastic pieces and parts. It used to smell like firefighters...but I am used to that smell. It wouldn't hurt to have the interior detailed if you plan on driving it while you're completing the build. No rust on cab or chassis. ABS light likes to come on and off at will.
I am motivated to sell. I hate to have it just sitting. If I can work out care for my old man - I am also happy to work out delivering it. The truck is located in Columbus, Ohio at an RV storage facility. Please call me if you have questions. Clear South Dakota title in hand.
