Pictures & Build Thread

I bought the 4runner 12 months ago from Virginia after searching for 3 or 4 months. V8, limited edition, full service records (yes full service records including timing belt replacement at 91,000). The car had been a 2-owner vehicle (first owner had it for 110,000 miles in Virginia and then it went out to California with her son for 15,000 miles. Vehicle has been dealer serviced since 2005 when it went in for its first 15,000 service. Every major service has been completed. I regularly activate the CDL in 4 high and 4 low to keep the seals fresh. Always locks and unlocks in both high and low without any issues. Runs great, is smooth and quiet without any problems.

• Timing Belt/waterpump/coolant – 91K
• Hydraulic brake flush – 100K, 135K
• Front Diff, Rear Diff, Transfer Case – 50K, 130K
• Front Brakes/Rear Brakes/Calipers, Rotors, & Pads – 79K, 135K
• Fuel induction service – 65K, 100K, 140K
• Fuel injection service – 65K, 100K, 140K
• Power Steering Fluid Flush – 105K
• Replaced CV boots Left & Right – 105K
• Spark Plugs -125K
• Trans Flush – 128K
• Oil and filter changes every 5K with Mobil 1 and Filter

It is very clean inside and out. Entire front brake system replaced along with rear rotors and pads replaced 4 months ago. No rust underneath; this was its first winter up north. I power-wash the underside 1 a week to keep it away. Mods were done with overland camping/exploration in mind. Sound system completely overhauled with all new wiring, speakers, amp, and dynamat. Aftermarket head unit does not come with the car, you will have to source your own. No factory wiring was used or hacked. The power for the compressor is already in the rear cargo compartment. Its all wired up safely and fused to the auxiliary battery. If you want to add a CB, rear lights, or anything else the fuse block hookup is already installed in the rear compartment as well. Professional quality install on all wiring; techflex sleeving, marine grade heat shrink, fuses, distribution block, grounds, hydraulic crimps, pico terminal ends, ect.

The rear passenger side shows the 4 gauge wire in the techflex sleeving for the rear fuse block. All that is needed now is to install the 100 amp fuse (comes with car) and connect to auxiliary battery once installed.

The 4 gauge wire for rear fuse block is ran through the grommet on the passenger side of the engine behind the kick panels along the stock wiring chase for the vehicle all the way to the rear. The front USB outlet joins up with it at the passenger kick panel and runs to the rear as well.

1) is the car in NY?
2) can you post some pics of the seats?
3) how many salty-road winters has this been thru?

Yeah, the salty winters, smokers car, and probably make people cautious...

I'd be interested, but have doubts with that above...

I've only owned the car since March so this would be its first winter as its originally from Virginia. Service records and car fax can confirm this. Underside of the vehicle is clean and rust free. I will post pictures of the seats tomorrow.

As far as the idea that it is a smokers car I cannot say for sure. It doesn't have smell, stains, or any other smoke related signs. The one small burn mark is on the drivers seat. It is small and not all the way through.

The car is in NY now.

Can you upload some pics of the underside? The body seams and the frame and suspension and such? The stuff that would be rusty if it were rusty? Also, where in NY is the car? I have a good friend in Connecticut. I'm looking for one of these, the Ca market is a few, but they're unserviced and high mileage, or overpriced. You're has the right price and the right mods, it's just far away, but that is an overcome-able obstacle.

I will upload interior pics and underside pics tomorrow. It is clean underneath. The main reason I bought this particular 4Runner was because it was clean and had no rust.

Car is located either at my house in Westhampton Beach or at my job in Maspeth Queens. Easier to meet at my job as I'm always here monday through saturday

concerning the underneath pictures. I do not have access to a lift so I did the best I could crawling around underneath in my warehouse. That said if you are seriously considering the vehicle and have concerns then we can go to a local garage and I'll pay to put it up for you.

I also removed the spare tire while taking pics to make seeing the rear easier.
