Well... Here it goes. Let's see how well these 285/70/17s will fit. Did a test fit with the spare. Looks like front bumper trimming may be all that's needed. Time to figure it out though. This build has been stagnant too long!

Tight fit, but fit they do. There's some rubbing up front if I turn too sharply. That was expected though.

And finally getting these installed. So much for my idea of doing all the work myself and documenting/YouTube-ing it as I went. But, hey, it'll be one step closer to complete. I'll take it.

Ceramic coated Wildcat headers are in, and the dual exhaust piping is corrected! It sounds great at low RPM, but I gotta make some changes for the mid-range and crusing RPM ranges. Too much drone on the highway. But... it's finally installed! We have progress.

The spare tire just barely fits on the factory carrier without flipping it. I read on Discount Tire's website that K02s in 285/70/17 were 32.8". A tape measurer has these at just a hair under 33 while using the stock Mitsubishi rims.

The front wasn't actually rubbing. Turned out the wheel well shroud lost a fastener and was bent toward the tire a little, making contact when turning. I went ahead and trimmed the front bumper plastic a little anyway since it was so close. Haven't cleaned it up yet though. About to take it on a camping trip and test things out.

The Montero has preformed incredibly. Drove from Fort Worth, TX to Colorado Springs, CO. Ran a few light-ish trails along the way. Hanging with some CO residents who have extended the hospitality to show me around! Planning to run Pike's Peak in the morning. Then drive to Telluride and run some trails out there.
