How do you get a title for it? There had to be a red flag on the VIN.

Florida hands out titles like crazy. It's not terribly difficult to get a title issued for a vehicle there if you can befriend a worker in the tax collector's office. There's a non conforming R34 Skyline lurking around Niceville, for this exact reason. A Florida title and registration may stop the trooper or deputy from citing you, but that's not going to stop the feds from snatching it up.

True enough and I know I could totally get away with owning it and driving it for years here where I live with zero problems. Not going to do it though, 25yrs on an import or no dice for me.
